2009 AFC Wild Card Playoff: Colts At Chargers Game Winning Drive

This clip collection is of the game winning overtime scoring drive by the San Diego Chargers in route to their 23-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Due partly to great running by Darren Sproles and grabby hands by the Colts the likes of which I have not seen since my last fraternity party. I was also reminded of a story. It was a dark and stormy night in the year 2000 at the Franklin High School football field in Portland, Oregon. As a scout team lineman I rarely ventured past the line of scrimmage in my efforts to block the starting defense. On this night I went into the secondary and could not find a linebacker to block when suddenly I turned around to see a guy coming at me, he was our starting safety and current Charger receiver Legedu Naanee. A man taller then myself who was positioned lower and approaching with alarming speed. I could have been really screwed with a helmet to helmet hit, but he was nice enough to just jab his forearms into my face mask. Unfortunately he had more than enough force to send me falling over backwards. After flying through the air for a brief moment my butt hit the dirt followed shortly by my back and the back of my head. Fortunately my fall was broken by my tail pad, the back my shoulder pads, the back of my helmet, and the fact the field was all mud, however I still experienced a significant level of discomfort. Looking back I am now proud to say that I have been knocked on my ass by an NFL player.
